Mrs. Lillie Lucinda Ann McKinnon Goodloe, formerly of 9771 Rockfish Valley Highway, and more recently of 92 Greenberry Drive, age 85, departed this life on the 17th day of April, of our Lord 2007.
She was born March 11, 1922 in Shady Grove, Florida, a daughter to the late Raleigh Duncan McKinnon and his second wife, Hattie Yon McKinnon. She had been in failing health for a number of years and welcomed the opportunity to be with her long departed family and friends.
In April, 1943 she married Carey B. (Jack) Goodloe, S/Sgt. U. S. Army-Air Force, who passed in December, 1973; also preceding her were her parents; her half-brother, Wade D. McKinnon and his wife, Myrtle; half-sister, Evelyn and her husband, Albert Lewis; and a brother, John D. McKinnon and his wife, Jewel, all of Florida, as well as brothers-in-law, Benton H. Goodloe, Jr., Joseph F. Goodloe, Robert L, Goodloe; sisters-in-law (and spouses), Lillian G. & Leslie C. Canody, Eleanor Sheridan, and Virginia G. & Frank Holsten.
She is survived by a son, Bryant ("Jackie") and his second wife, Elizabeth of Crittenden; and a daughter, Linda -Anne and her husband, Michael, with whom she had lived the last few years, of Afton; three grandchildren, Jason C. Goodloe and his wife, Amy of Fairfax; E. Blain (Goodloe) and her husband, Paul Swisher of Chesapeake; Melissa McKinnon Cook-Small and her husband, Brandon of Afton; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron & Emileigh Goodloe and Jacob W. Swisher; a sister, Prudence Dickson of Shady Grove, Fla.,; two sister-in-laws, Margaret (Pete) Small of Nellysford and Georgia Goodloe of Glen Allen; a brother-in-law, Colby S. Goodloe and his wife, Mary of Ashland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
On a lighter note, she is also survived by her two cats, Princess and Anna.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Whitney Critzer officiating.
Family night will be held from 7-8:00 P.M. Saturday, April 21, 2007 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Funeral Service.
