Reuben & Rachel Wolfe left KY after last child was born in October 1833, and came to Pettis County, MO. I don't know where Rachel is buried, and have checked Pettis County cemeteries long ago. Reuben married a 2nd time, May 18, 1835, Phebe Jennings Bridges, in Pettis County, MO, and had a son together, Jesse P (1837). Reuben came to Bates County in 1842. He died in 1848 (age 49) and is buried here. Later on, Phebe left here with son and went to Johnson County, MO. The rest of Reueben's children and families settled here. Then after the infamous order no. 11 in August 1863 when Butler and Bates County had to be evacauated, they left here but returned after the Civil War. Reuben is buried here in Bates County. Bates County is where the Civil War began! Reuben and Rachel had 3 girls and 5 boys. The first child was a girl, but she died young, and so did the 7th child, a girl. And so did the 5th child, a son. I have the lineage on the 4 sons and 1 daughter.
