Notes |
- Listed on the 1840 Monroe Co., AL Census as Solomon Bivin
002020001/000000001
(two sons ages 10-14, two sons ages 20-29, one male age 60-69, one female age 60-69)
While it does not list the names of the four sons on the census, is it most likely that three of his sons were DeKalb (born 1829-making him age 11 in the correct range), Nathaniel (born 1812, making him 28 in the correct range), and William Bivin (born abt 1820, making him 20 in the correct range.)
**It is unconfirmed at this time as to who are the four sons of Solomon Bivin. However, all three possible sons (Dekalb, Nathaniel, and the surviving family of William were listed as the only Bivin families in Burnt Corn, Monroe Co., AL on the 1860 Census. All three of them married Bonner sisters. It is most likely that they were brothers.
-Another thought- wife Kiziah was living with a John Bivin on the 1850 Monroe Co., Census. (John b about 1817, making him the right age for one of their sons. It is logical to assume that she would live with her unmarried son. However, this is just an educated guess.
Not listed on the 1850 Census.
