Mrs. Ada Ellen Harrell, 81, was found dead in bed at 4 p.m. Wednesday at her home, Huntington route seven, one-half mile west of Pilchers Chapel, by Mrs. Arthur Zimmerlee who called at the home. Dr. Grover M. Nie, county coroner, reported that death was caused by heart disease.
Mrs. Harrell was born in Polk township January 29, 1867 to Peter W. and Elizabeth Shell Wise. Her first marriage was to Frank L. Gordon who died July 29, 1928. The second marriage was to Warren E. Gillespie who died June 16, 1932 and the third marriage was to Charles Harrell who died April 12, 1939.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary C. Bailey and Mrs. Emma L. Ray, this city; a nephew, H. Frank Bailey and a niece, Mrs. Grace Smith, this city; and three cousins, Mrs. Pearl Bailey and Mrs. Nona Prilaman, both of this city and Charles Wise, New Castle.
Mrs. Harrell was a member of the Pilchers Chapel Methodist church.
The body was removed to the Bailey funeral home where friends may call.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Garl Beaver, Marion, officiating.
The body will be placed in the mausoleum at Mt. Hope cemetery.
