The DAR application shows that Josiah married Sarah Evans, but Sarah Evans married a Josiah Harrell born 1753 of Bertie County, NC.
The information doesn't fit our Josiah. HB

I have a Mary D. Harrell born 1807 in Bertie County to Sarah Evans and Josiah Harrell in 1805 who married Jacob Brock and came to Decatur County, GA. Their daughter, Mary Della Brock was my great-grandmother. There is only one Josiah Harrell marrying a Sarah Evans in Bertie Co, NC in 1805. In 1809, Josiah (assumed the same one) married Mary Evans, so I figure Sarah died. I found this information about 15 years ago in a book of copied pages that included Decatur Co, GA marriages and other ancestry. I somehow lost the name of the book; it was in the Clearwater, FL library. Gail, do you know how I could get in touch with the lady who gave this info to see how she has what has to be the same Mary D. Harrell in TX and married to a Hill? I am going home to FL for five days in October, and can look for the book.
