Hugh Harrold, Harrell etc. apparently grew up and married in Maryland and then went with William Davis from Maryland to Frederick co. Va. where he died in 1743.
Hugh and Jane Harrell, Harrold etc. were apparently Hugh?s youngest children and were placed in the custody of William Davis. (I suspect that Hugh also had older children when he died.)

It is speculated that a Hugh Harrell, Harrold etc. who died in Frederick co. in 1743 was the Hugh Harrold etc. son of Walter and Priscilla who died leaving Hugh, John and Nicholas orphans. When Hugh died in 1743 in Frederick co. he left two orphans, Hugh and Jane. This orphan Hugh of 1743 is apparently the Hugh Harrell who appears on the 1783 Tax List in Frederick co. and it appears he moved his family to western NC about 1783 and this is my Harrell etc. line.
Hugh and Jane were placed in the custody of a William Davis in 1744 in Frederick co. It was William Davis' sons who moved to western NC.
