He moved to Charlotte immediately following the Mexican War, married Martha Clark, daughter of Capt. Thomas Clark, and lived until 1884 at Keysville in the house afterward owned by the late Mrs. James H. Davis. He had two sons, T. 0. and Edward Ralls, both of whom are now living in North Carolina, and three daughters; Misses Lou, Verona and Flora, who are now living in Richmond. He moved to Greensboro N.C. and later to Richmond, where he died at an old age in 1891, his widow surviving him several years.
